Kindergarten groups
By 'newcomers' we mean children who are new to the Netherlands. The children have in common that they have not enough understanding of the Dutch language to start in a regular Dutch school.
Within the ITK we currently have one kindergarten group. Pupils aged 4 or 5 can attend a regular Dutch elementary school. If there is an older brother or sister at the ITK, a 4 or 5 year old pupil can be placed at the ITK when desired. There are also a limited number of places in the kindergarten group for pupils with an arrangement, who have difficulty in regular Dutch education.
